Conditions We Treat

Whatever you're facing, you're not alone

Every condition below is treated with the same whole-person approach: the right diagnosis first, then a plan combining medication (when helpful), psychotherapy, and root-cause support. Most conditions include a free, confidential self-assessment based on the same validated screening tools we use in clinic.

Depression

Depression is more than sadness — it can feel like fog, heaviness, numbness, or losing interest in things you used to love. It affects sleep, appetite, energy, and concentration.

We look beyond the checklist: thyroid and hormone imbalances, vitamin deficiencies, inflammation, sleep disorders, and chronic stress can all drive or worsen depression. Treatment may combine antidepressants (chosen carefully, together), psychotherapy, targeted supplements, and lifestyle changes that address what's actually fueling your symptoms.

Anxiety & Panic

Constant worry, racing thoughts, a tight chest, sudden waves of panic — anxiety can hijack both mind and body. It's also one of the most treatable conditions we see.

Our approach calms the nervous system from multiple angles: evidence-based medication when appropriate, CBT-informed strategies, breath and lifestyle work, and attention to caffeine, sleep, blood sugar, and hormonal factors that quietly feed anxiety.

ADHD & Focus

Trouble starting tasks, losing track of time, restlessness, forgetfulness — ADHD shows up differently in every person, and many adults go years without an accurate diagnosis.

We take diagnosis seriously: sleep problems, anxiety, depression, and trauma can all masquerade as ADHD. When ADHD is confirmed, treatment may include stimulant or non-stimulant medication, skills coaching, and support for sleep, nutrition, and routines that make focus sustainable.

Trauma & PTSD

Trauma can leave the nervous system stuck on high alert — nightmares, flashbacks, avoidance, irritability, or feeling emotionally numb and disconnected from people you care about.

Healing is possible. We create a safe, steady space and pace treatment to you: medication to quiet hyperarousal and improve sleep when needed, supportive and trauma-informed therapy, and referrals for specialized trauma therapies when they would help.

Bipolar Spectrum

Periods of unusually elevated energy, little need for sleep, racing ideas, or impulsive decisions — alternating with crushing lows. Bipolar spectrum conditions are frequently misdiagnosed as depression alone, which can make treatment backfire.

Getting this diagnosis right matters enormously. We take a careful history, involve family perspective when helpful, and build a mood-stabilizing plan that protects sleep, tracks patterns, and keeps you functioning at your best.

OCD

Intrusive, unwanted thoughts and the rituals or mental loops that try to neutralize them can consume hours of your day — and shame often keeps people from mentioning them at all.

OCD responds well to the right treatment. We offer careful diagnosis (OCD is often mistaken for anxiety), evidence-based medication strategies, and coordination with therapists who provide exposure and response prevention (ERP), the gold-standard therapy.

Sleep Difficulties

Sleep is where mental health is built — or unravels. Insomnia, restless nights, and irregular sleep patterns worsen nearly every psychiatric condition and are often the first domino to fall.

We treat sleep as a vital sign: reviewing sleep habits and rhythms, screening for underlying causes, and using behavioral strategies, targeted supplements, and thoughtful short-term medication when needed — with the goal of restoring sleep that doesn't depend on pills.

Stress & Life Transitions

A new diagnosis, a divorce, a career change, becoming a parent, losing someone — even "good" changes can overwhelm your capacity to cope, disrupting sleep, mood, and relationships.

You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support. We help you steady the ground under your feet: short-term therapeutic support, stress-physiology care (sleep, movement, nervous-system regulation), and medication only if truly needed.

Psychosis & Schizophrenia

Hearing or seeing things others don't, beliefs that feel unshakable but frighten the people who love you, thoughts that feel scrambled or intruded upon — psychosis is one of the most misunderstood experiences in medicine, and many practices simply won't take it on. We do.

We provide careful diagnostic evaluation, thoughtful antipsychotic management with close attention to the metabolic side effects these medications can cause, and coordination with therapists, case managers, and family. This is also where emerging metabolic psychiatry research is most active — early clinical trials of ketogenic-informed approaches in schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder — and we bring that science into care alongside proven treatment, never instead of it.

If you or a loved one is in an acute psychotic crisis or unsafe right now, call or text 988 or call 911 — then reach out to us for ongoing care.

Substance Use

Alcohol, cannabis, stimulants, nicotine — substance use rarely travels alone. It's usually intertwined with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, or sleep problems, and treating one without the other is why so many people relapse.

We treat the whole picture without judgment: honest assessment, anti-craving medication support when appropriate, treatment of the co-occurring conditions driving the use, and coordination with therapy and recovery programs. Your goals set the direction — whether that's cutting back or full abstinence — and we track progress together, visit by visit.
